Canon HF11

If you are on the lookout for a HD camcorder that is small and lightweight, the Canon HF11 may tickle your fancy.

It is an AVCHD format camcorder with Canon's True Full HD CMOS Sensor that records at 1,920 x 1,080 and up to a bit rate of 24Mbps.

Features are quite standard for a Canon mid-range camcorder. There is a DV II Imaging Processor, 12x optical zoom, an optical image stabiliser, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD and manual exposure controls like shutter and aperture priority modes.

The built-in 32GB nets you about four hours at 17Mbps. At 24Mbps, this drops to about three hours. If this is not enough for you, simply add an SD/SDHC card to bump up its memory.

The Canon HF11 is not cheap but it is a worthwhile investment if you want a good quality HD camcorder that is lightweight.
