Kodak Zi6 HD for sale: $69.99

Check out woot.com to pick up a refurbished Kodak Zi6 for 70 bucks only today.

Not only does this dazzling imp of a camera capture 720p video at frame rates of up to 60 fps; not only does its SD/SDHC slot take cards of up to 32GB (sold separately); not only does it include batteries and charger; but it fits right into my pocket. And there lies the inspiration for the work that will make me once again the toast of Perpignan: The Pocket Of The Damned. Yes, it will be filmed entirely with the Kodak EasyShare Zi6 in my left pants pocket…or is it my right? This is but one of many enigmas that the viewer must grapple with through five excruciating hours of almost total darkness and barely audible sound. Never before has cinema attempted such a fearless examination of dislocation, of disinheritance, of disappointment. Pompeux, you genius!

Head over to http://www.woot.com/ Hurry, the offer is valid today only!

Woot.com is an online store and community that focuses on selling cool stuff cheap. It started as an employee-store slash market-testing type of place for an electronics distributor, but it's taken on a life of its own.

RCA Small Wonder EZ300HD reviewed

The highlights here are a 720p (1280x720) HD shooting mode, a 2.4-inch LCD with "improved viewing in bright sunlight," and a swiveling lens that gives you more flexibility when shooting. The 2GB of built-in memory gives you one hour of recording time in HD mode or six hours of recording time in the lower-resolution YouTube capture mode. The EZ300HD is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack and its memory can be expanded by purchasing a higher-capacity SD card.

Six HD camcorder reviewed and compared

PCWorld Senior Editor Tim Moynihan takes a look at six HD, YouTube-friendly pocket camcorders from Creative, Kodak, Sony, and Pure Digital, including the brand new Flip UltraHD. With features ranging from a wide-angle lens to variable frame rates, one of these devices in the $150- to $230-range is bound to be a great fit for your needs.

All camcorders lack an optical zoom and any sort of image stabilization, they also don't have any WiFi or GPS capabilities. But for about $200, there's not much to complain about.

Shopping for a high-definition camcorder doesn't sound like it should be a difficult undertaking, but the vast differences in prices can make your head spin.

A quick scan of available camcorders claiming to capture video in high definition will reveal a staggeringly wide difference in price points, and the distinctions between the most and least expensive are not always clear at first glance. With a little inside knowledge, it's possible to dig beneath the surface specifications and determine whether you can afford to shell out the big bucks or if you can settle for a more modest model.

Pure Digital Flip Mino HD reviewed by LaptopMag

From the review:

Unlike the Kodak Zi6, which can record at VGA resolution or 720p at either 30 or 60 frames per second, the Mino HD just does 720p video at 30 fps. That’s not necessarily a bad thing; 60 fps is only necessary in the fastest-moving situations, plus it eats up battery life faster than 30-fps video. We respect Pure Digital’s effort to simplify the experience for users.

Overall, we were impressed with the Mino HD’s smooth 720p video. It performed well in a wide range of lighting conditions, always delivering pleasant, lifelike colors and loud-enough sound. Only in fast-paced action sequences—an ice-skating rink, for example—did we miss the Kodak Zi6’s 60-fps option.
